From Bariloche we went driving through the Lake District of Argentina stopping shortly in San Martin de Los Andes and enjoying to see all the beautiful lakes and National Parks with free running horses, cows and sheeps crossing sometimes the streets.
After a long day we found a nice free campground on Lago Espejo where only a few other people were camping. Next day we went to Villa La Angostura, but the weather was really bad, so we decided to cross the border again and going to Chile.
After the border the landscape changed totally again and we drove through sandy and dead forest area very high in the mountains. This part got his look from the eruption of the volcano ... which explodes in 1960. But after a while the surrounding changed again to rainforests and hilly green farmland and waterfalls. In our travel guide we red about hot springs in Aguas Calientes. Arriving there we saw some normal swimming pools next to a river, but we know that there are also some natural springs with no entrance fee and found them just crossing a small bridge right next to the river. There were just two other couples sitting and so we enjoyed some very nice hours sitting in our hot holes hearing the sounds of the river and the forest and seeing humming birds flying over us :)
We were talking a little with the people next to us with our poor Spanish and at the end when it got already dark they invited us to their home, where we had some great handmade bread.
Next day, although the weather was again not good we decided to drive a little more south to see the Chilean Lake District. We stopped in Frutillar famous for Kuchen and Strudel. When we were looking for a campground for the night, we saw a Hotel sign with the name Salzburg Hotel & Spa. We just wanted to have a look to have a chat with the owner and ended up making a video and pictures for them for some free nights at their hotel. Which was perfect because it was raining all the time and we spent some days working and relaxing in this 4 star hotel.
After 4 nights we are looking forward to stay in our movable home again, with our kitchen and our very nice comfortable bed.
