We love islands, the ocean and its fresh breeze, the beaches and holiday feeling.
But Martha's Vineyard offered also cute colorful houses, forests, cliffs and meadows framed by old stonewalls.
Now we know why Obama and before him other presidents made holiday there.
But the best thing on our stay there was our campground. When we shipped over we met a nice couple who lived on the island. They talked to another woman and she invited us to stay on her property. And so we ended up staying on a nice shady spot under some trees, having the best outdoor shower from where you could watch the stars and spent some nice evening with Kathy and her family.
Kathy was so friendly that she even let us stay alone the first days, when she went to the Mainland.
It is always great to see and we are so happy to met so many friendly and great people. And as a bonus it was Grand Illumination night and they had big fireworks. Shipping back our next stop was the city that never sleeps...
