Leaving the city of the rich and famous, we where on our way to the Giants, where big is like an understatement.
The giant trees of Sequoia. It is really hard to describe how you feel if you walk under these huge trees, it felt like there are relict from a lost world where everything was bigger.
Highway No 1 - what a fantastic road! If you wanna see sea elephants real close relaxing at beach, cliffs connected with wide bridges and a waterfall which falls onto the beach this is the road to go to. And on the way you stop at such fantastic cities like San Francisco.
SF is so green with a lot of old colorful houses and some really steep hills. A few even to steep for us to drive them, but only up. Driving down the famous curvy Lombard Street was fun. But our highlight was definitely the Golden Gate Bridge and one of the most greatest camp spots in the Marine Headlands Park. There we met two other campers from France and enjoyed with a soup and a glass of wine the fantastic view
over the GGB and the city behind it.
And as I mentioned wine, of course we couldn't go on without stopping at the famous Nappa Valley.
But soon we hit the road again following Highway No 1 north to Oregon and Washington.
