After the fabulous Rocky Mountains we were exited to enter the next state Utah, well known for the great national parks.
But close to the border we visited luckily our first canyon where you could drive around just at the edge and where we had fantastic views over the flat land behind.
Utah is a stunner. The first Canyon was so huge, wide and deep that we felt very small but it was really great!
The second canyon is famous for one figure: the Arches NP.
We arrived right in time for sunset and to see all the red colors and at night thousands of stars was just beautiful.
Leaving it already early with perfect timing as the masses where waiting in line at the entrance we drove through a landscape of wide unamed canyons.
Slowly the scenery changed and in the distance we saw the famous towers and needles of Monument Valley.
A little variety was the Lake Powell which was pretty cold for a lake in the desert and the great Horseshoe Bend.
After all the big rocks and stonewalls we thought one more is fine before we will met my cousin.
So we visited the Zion NP and even though we have seen a lot of Canyons and Parks every one is a little different and really worth a visit.
But for the next stop we were even more exited the city of millions lights and after 16 months visitors from home were waiting for us ;)
