As we met many nice people in Villa de Leyva, some of them also wanted to go to Barichara.
So we gave Jonas from Switzerland a taxi drive. And drove one of the worst road ever. It was a recommendation of the receptionist. Huge holes and big stones over more than 10km and one part was so steep that we had to find another way around. But with walking speed we finally made it.
Lonely Planet said that Barichara is one of the most beautiful villages in Colombia - and we agree.
Surrounded by mountains and with nice climate, we spent some really nice days with Herve, a friend from France and Jonas in this beautiful colonial town. And next to the village is a huge canyon with a little bar.
The only not good thing was that our Benz was suddenly very low. So we went to a mechanic.
He thought it was the spring, but after Stefan has lifted up our car, he saw that the spring was okay but the autobody was rotten. So lucky us, as welding is very cheap in South America, but a spring would be not so easy to get and more expensive.
After two days the car was ready and we were ready to finish the first half of our first continent South Amerika and go to the coast...
