Lima is really huge with over 10 million inhabitants, but we found a nice hostel where we could built up our Camp-let in their courtyard in the district Miraflores.
This week we were awaiting our kitchen and the new clutch. But again it was not an easy way to get it out of the customs. It started all with many e-mails. As we have already some experiences with the Aduana in Chile, we thought it is a good to visit them personally. But after a meeting with three persons from the customs we learned that Peru is much stricter and has more regulations.
After another meeting with six people and signing documents and signing some more documents a guy brought us at the weekend to our hostel, our kitchen was finally delivered at 9 pm in a huge package, probably the biggest we have ever received. We felt a little like children on Christmas Day when we opened it.
Thanks a lot to our sponsor Camp-let again, we are so happy to have our kitchen back and that we can cook again :)
The rest of the week we were building in the new parts in our Camp-let and discovering our surroundings. We found some very nice places. The first one was the Parque de la Reserva, a nice park with beautiful water fountains. The other one gets one of our favorite places, the board walk of Miraflores, where you can walk directly at the cliff in a green park with a lighthouse and watching paragliders flying over the ocean.
Unfortunately our second package was still in the customs, but that we will tell you in the next report.
