Start spreading the news, we leaving today and want to be apart of it... New York New York.
Can't believe it, but we made it from Hamburg over the most southern point and one of the most northern towns of the Americas to this fantastic city. I have already been there before, Stefan not, but New York caught him immediately, too. To see the skyline from the other side of the Hudson is just great.
And you will feel it too, the city is vibrant, always changing and always new.
Although there is a lot of traffic, we couldn't resist to drive to the heart of the city, to see all the millions of lights at night. There is no better time to visit the Times Square ;)
The next days we discovered Manhattan, at least a part of it, as there is so much to see that you could stay months and haven't seen it all.
So we visited the new World Trade Center, the Highline and the Wallstreet, walked in the Central Park and over the Brooklyn Bridge, enjoyed a nice breeze and the view over Lower Manhattan and the Statue of Liberty while taking the ferry to Staten Island.
But one of the best evenings were when we met my cousin, his wife and their baby Hannah. They live in Jersey City on the other site of the Hudson overlooking the city, and we had a great time with pizza, beer and wine.
As it was hard to leave, the next big city was already waiting for us, but not only the city. We wanted to see our friends Bill and Bobby, we met in the very first days of our journey at the Iguacu Waterfalls.
So see you next week in the Capital of the States in Washington D.C.
