After 21 months it was finally time to organize the shipping back to Europe
We had several offers but New York was finally the winner as the cost was okay and we really wanted to see New York again.
So 2500km back north. And one other thing made us leave soon: Matthew another hurricane was heading towards Florida, but this time much stronger.
So we left the beautiful white beaches of the Emerald Coast, knowing that the endless summer is over now and that we will miss it.
As Matthew was predicted to follow the East coast up we decided to see the Smoky Mountains and a part of the Blueridge Parkway we skipped last time. But we were not the only ones who wanted to see the changing golden leaves.
There were really crowds and traffic jams and so we left after one nice morning. And finally felt Matthew with heavy rain that lasted day and night, that we even slept in our car.
But next day though it was still windy, the rain stopped, and we made one short stop in beautiful old Annapolis.
Arriving on a sunny day we saw Manhattan's skyline again.
And on top we found a great campground at an old airfield in Brooklyn. We felt a little sad knowing that we will built up our Cam-let the last time for a long time.
So one more week in the greatest city of the world to get the shipping done, for us a perfect temporary ending for our trip ;)
